Education is the best Prevention!

The Education Department for the Kitsap Humane Society works to improve the lives of animals by meeting with students and community service organizations. Here, we discuss our mission, proper animal care, bite prevention and overpopulation. By talking to our youth about these and other animal welfare issues, we are creating a caring, nurturing future for our community and our animals.

The Kitsap Humane Society offers classroom visits and shelter tours. In addition, we offer a free behavior and training class, and a helpline for owners to get their questions answered. Browse our site to learn about these topics and more including spay/neuter myths and how to cope with a pet loss. Check out our Events Calendar to see where you’ll see us out in the community next!
