How to Raise $350 in one week!

Day 1...Begin by putting in your own $25 contribution.

Day 2...Ask two family members of your family to sponsor you for $25 each.

Day 3...Ask your employer to contribute $25 and ask about matching funds* for employee contributions to your campaign.

Day 4...Ask five friends to contribute $10 each.

Day 5…Ask five co-workers to sponsor you for $10 each.

Day 6...Ask five neighbors to sponsor you for $10 each.

Day 7...Ask your dry cleaner, pharmacy, grocery, doctor, and favorite restaurant for a $20 contribution (or five businesses you frequent).

*Some companies that match charitable contributions include Bank of America, Costco, Qwest, Verizon, Washington Mutual, Microsoft and Starbucks.

Other ways to generate donations:

· Hold a change drive at your school or in your home.

· Have a bake sale!

· Give up your coffee or latte once a week and donate that money towards your goal.

· Hold a car wash…better yet – hold a Dog Wash!

· Pack your lunch once a week and donate that extra money towards your goal.

· Ask your friends and relatives to pass your pledge sheet out to their work or school.

· Ask! Ask! Ask! Your hairdresser, coffee stand, neighbor – anyone you see!

Gat a friend, your pet and start collecting donations for the animals of the Kitsap Humane Society!PetsWALK is a walk-a-thon and community event to raise money for KHS. Your furry friends are welcome to walk in on the fun! Along with our 5K and 1K Courses, we have tons of fun and activities for you and your family! Look forward to our Pet Costume Contest, Talent Contest, Frisbee Contest, informational demonstrations, agility courses, Vendor Fair, music, food and more! We hope to see you ALL there!

First, write down on the top of your PetsWALK 2009 Registration Form how much money you plan to raise for the animals of the Kitsap Humane Society. Then look below for ideas on how to generate money to get to your goal quickly!

FORM A TEAM!

Why Form a team? Team members are great way to have more fun at PetsWALK, and to build momentum in raising money. With the help of friends and family, your team can brainstorm ideas on how to hold a bake sale or a dog wash. The more people on your team, the more people in the community you can reach and spread the word about the Kitsap Humane Society. PLUS!! There’s a prize for the Highest Team Total!

JOIN OUR VENDOR FAIR!

We invite you and your company to be a part of our ever-growing Vendor Fair! This is an exciting, active, inexpensive way to promote your organization, company or new business. While we have a great deal of pet-related vendors, we invite all businesses to join in on the fun and the opportunity to meet new potential clients in the community. PetsWALK sees over 500 faces throughout the day – don’t miss a chance for them to see you!!Look back at this site to download a Vendor Fair Application. In the meantime, please contact the Events Department to reserve your spot now! Booths fill quickly!

Would you like to see your company’s logo on PetsWALK posters, t-shirts, website and more! Sponsor a portion of PetsWALK 2009 and be seen, and appreciated! Cash and in-kind donations help offset the cost of the event, so that money raised by the participants can go straight to the care of the animals at the Kitsap Humane Society.
