This is a list of volunteer opportunities available at all times. If you are already a volunteer and would like to get started on any of these tasks, please contact the Volunteer Department to find out how. If you are not currently a volunteer, please complete a volunteer application and we will contact you with dates for the next Volunteer Orientation.

Animal Care

Assist the Animal Care staff in daily tasks including cleaning kennels, dog walking, grooming, cat and puppy socializing, laundry, dishes, cleaning crates, etc. Kennel Training is required.

Shelter Support

Assist the office staff in daily tasks including customer service, bulk mailings, data entry. Additional Training required.

Development

Assist Development Department in procuring items for our annual Animal Krackers auction and dinner, collect change from donation boxes.

Foster Care

Volunteer Foster Parents care for nursing mothers and animals too young to be adopted, orphaned young animals and ill or injured animals.  A foster parent’s commitment can be anywhere from 2-10 weeks.   Foster Parent counseling required.
